In Our Path :: Exhibition Installations

In March 1995 I had two simultaneous exhibitions of In Our Path at El Camino College near the west terminus of the Century Freeway and at the Downey Museum of Art near its east terminus. These are installation shots from each exhibition. Viewers at one venue were invited to interact with those at the other via an online messaging system. Bulletin boards at each space had current freeway articles and a push-pin map at which viewers were asked to show where they lived, worked, or entered the freeway. The signs and construction cones for each installation were supplied by CalTrans, the state's department of transportation.
